Tuesday Prayer Focus Notes
Lesson taken from: Rekindle the Altar Fire, Pierce and Beeftu
Altars were built each time there was a change in events.
- God rejected Cain’s offering because Cain did not follow direction for a blood sacrifice. Blood sacrifice means the price paid by death.
- The sign that the sacrifice is accepted is the fire from heaven.
- Noah built and altar when he exited the ark
- Abraham built and altar when he left Ur
- Joshua built an altar when he crossed the Jordan.
- Elijah built an altar to God and God answered by fire.
An altar is a place of sacrifice and a power point to draw spiritual and supernatural strength (Genesis 8:20-21). Altars are places of separation where we give ourselves to God and separate from curses and generational traits.
Disasters when the altar to God is neglected:
- False Pride,
- Deny God’s power
- Lack of holiness
- Lack the fear of the Lord
- Self-sufficiency takes over.
Restoring the foundations of Spiritual altars brings these benefits.
- Fire of the Holy Spirit (Yielding)
- Fire of Love for God, dedication to God
- Fire of the Word
- Fire of Holiness
- Fire of Worship and Prayer. Commitment to a true revival, and reform
- Fire of impurity. No mixture of God and idols.
- Fire of Hell. Satan redirects spiritual passion to himself.
- Fire of ministry. Everything starts and finishes with Him in true calling.
Three altars needed in our lives.
- High Place: Personal Prayer altar is a place. You interact with God through the Holy Spirit, and lift up praise, thanks, honor, and glory. No priest needed.
- Bronze altar is the Cross: (repent/forgive) Combination of copper and tin melted together. Does not corrode. Can be re-melted and refashioned, You can be refashioned.
- Golden Altar: A little pure gold can go a long way. Place of meeting God in purity and sacrificial abandon. Your own desires and will submits to God’s will.
