Definition of judgment Merriam Webster Dictionary
- the process of forming an opinion or evaluation by discerning and comparing careful judgment of the odds
- a formal decision given by a court
a. an obligation (such as a debt) created by the decree of a court
b. a certificate evidencing such a decree - the final judging of humankind by God sinners awaiting Judgment
- a proposition stating something believed or asserted
Judge not, that ye be not judged. (KJV)
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.(NIV)
“Refuse to be a critic full of bias toward others, and judgment will not be passed on you. (The Passion Trans)
If you judge other people, then you will find that you, too, are being judged. (Voice)
“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. (Message)
Good Judgment: You need to make a decision about concerning you.
- J walk or go to the light?
- Ride home with a drunk or take an Uber.
- Date a guy I don’t like?
- Don’t go through that area of the city.
Good Judgment: There is evidence of proof of a fact.
- Don’t hire a man with a crime record.
- This company has a good reputation.
- This group meets on time.
- According the Better Business ratings, this business is rip-off.
Bad Judgments:
- She thinks she is so pretty and flirts with all the men. (you will seem flirtatious)
- They are all so stupid. (You will come across stupid to others.)
- You can’t trust anyone. (No one will trust you.)
- He’s never going to do anything good. (All you do goes sour.)
