Tuesday Prayer Focus Notes

God uses government in his plan to fulfill prophecy.

Pharaoh and Moses: Exodus 1-2

1. Pharaoh ordered midwives to kill Hebrew babies. Midwives did not.
2. Pharaoh ordered all Hebrew baby boys be thrown into the Nile. Babies drowned in the Nile, floating down the river. (3 mos)
3. Moses was in a basket. Pharaoh’s daughter finds him alive. She hires Moses’ mother to raise him until he was old enough to care for himself.  (Mom had a chance to raise him as a Hebrew.)
4. Pharaoh’s daughter adopts Moses as her own. He grows up in the palace.
5. Pharaoh probably didn’t like Moses because he was a Hebrew (anti-Semitic spirit).
6. Moses knew he was a Hebrew. Killed the Egyptian.
7. Pharaoh threatens to kill Moses so he fled. God hides Moses in Midian
8. Moses challenges the new Pharaoh on Hebrew slavery.

Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel (Daniel 1) Took 3 encounters for Neb to bow.

1. The best of the population taken to Babylon.
2. King orders the best young men to serve him. They pass the test of faithfulness to God (Fast).
3. Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzar’s dream so promoted to the court. Favor for the three Hebrew boys, given positions of administrators
4. Nebuchadnezzar decree all to worship the golden idol. Fiery furnace Decree no speaking against S, M, A.
5. Daniel interpret dream of Nebuchadnezzar’s of downfall. (God’s decree.) Afterward, Nebuchadnezzar then worships God and decrees all citizens must worship God.

Cyrus and Jerusalem (Cyrus and Darius Isa 45)

1. Cyrus conquered the Babylonian empire.
2. God appointed Cyrus to Decree in writing to rebuild Jerusalem. (70 years later)
3. When the enemies opposed, the decree stood, and the enemies had to bow.

Caesar & Jesus

1. Caesar decreed a census. Mary & Joseph must go to Bethlehem so the prophecy is fulfilled.
2. Herod ordered all baby boys less than 2 years massacred.
3. God move Jesus to Egypt for safety. (Prophecy)

Xerxes and Esther

1. Xerxes decreed Vashti be banned.
2. Make place for Esther
3. Decree Jews defend selves (Purim)

Trump and USA

1. God hid him and trained him in the business world.
2. God used the election process to put him in position.
3. God put him in position to influence the world as POTUS
4. God using him speak to the world not just USA. Israel, Arab world, China, Korea, and Christian world.
5. God is using the economy to put pressure on nations to free the people from tyranny, poverty, idolatry, and bloodshed.

Declare vs Decree

Declaration is a statement of a law.

            The heavens declare His glory.

            I declare Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lord.

            I declare Jesus is a God of Justice.

Decree puts the law into action with authority of law.  It is a powerful judgement against an enemy.  Decrees include everyone.

            I decree no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

            I decree injustice must bow to the Name of Jesus.

            I decree by the Blood of Jesus, your sin is forgiven.
