Who is Satan?  Isaiah 14:11-27

Satan is a created being.  He was created to be the worship leader angel.  He was beautiful and his body was of pipes that vibrated with music.  He created beautiful worship music.

Satan decided he wanted to be above God with his own following.  He puffed himself up and challenged God.  He convinced one-third of the angels to follow him.  God would have none of it and kicked Satan and his following angels out of heaven.

Satan decided he would be god over the earth.  God had created mankind to worship God.  We are to praise, adore, worship God with song, dance, and instruments.  We were to fill the gap left by Satan.  Satan does not like being replaced therefore is against Mankind.  He lured Adam and Eve to disobey God so that they will know evil.

Satan’s goal is to get you out of alignment with God. Your worship of anyone or anything other than God gives Satan the power to corrupt the earth & mankind.  He is everything God is not.  He is a liar, deceiver, killer, thief, and destroyer.

Deceiver:  he will use anyone to throw you off course with God.  He will speak through your mom, dad, friends, spouse, children, etc. to get you to be angry at God.  He will use sickness, poverty, and abuse to move you away from God.  He will also use fame, money, and status to get you to focus away from God.  Whatever it takes!  He does not play fair!

God does not play fair either.  God holds the trump cards.  God had given Jesus Christ on the cross to break the bondage of Satan, no matter what it is.  There is no time limit or maximum/minimum requirement.  The only requirement is to repent and forgive.

How can you tell it’s Satan?

Does it run counter to the Word of God??  If what you are believing does not line up with the Word of God and God’s character, then it’s a deception.

If it was your own foolishness or failure to step up, the Holy Spirit will give you evidence and call you to repent. That is conviction.  You can always repent.

Salvation with no Repentance and Forgiveness is like a gun with no ammunition.

If you don’t know what the Word of God says, you won’t know what to repent and forgive.

How to fight!  Repentance and Forgiveness give you the power of the Blood of Jesus.

  • Know who the Bible says you are so you don’t buy into the devil’s lies.
  • Know who the Bible says God is. Healer, provider, King of Kings, the Almighty, the great I AM.
  • Know how to repent when you are shown where you have gone off course.
    • Repent of agreeing with the lies of the devil
    • Repent of making anything else above God. Job, health, children, spouse, parents, etc.
    • Repent of making contracts or packs with yourself=inner vow.
    • Repent of holding things in your heart contrary to God’s character. Anger, resentment, judgment, unforgiveness, bitterness, (ARJUB)
  • Know how to forgive: RAREEx: Restitiuton, apology, reason, explanation, excuses.
    • Forgive those who hurt you, lies to you, cheated you, etc
    • Forgive yourself for making ungodly agreements.
    • Forgive institutions
    • Forgive God.

BONDAGES:

  • Agreements with lies: Repent/Forgive, then break them
  • Curses: caused by sin. Repent/Forgive, then break the chains off
    • A curse does not come upon you for no reason.
  • Assignments: keep you from moving forward
    • Confess the trauma
    • Repent of wrong things in your heart
    • Choose to forgive by faith
    • Break the assignment with the Blood of Jesus

THE WAR IS NOT AGAINST YOU.  THE WAR IS OVER YOU.

You are the prize.

God loves you and wants you to love him.

He has been working on your behalf since eternity.

Satan hates you when you love God and will try to pull you away.

He has been working against you for a very long time.

God is for you.  Satan is against you.  Who are you going to vote for?  You have the deciding vote.

This is not an equal fight.  God is going to win!  You need to decide which side you want to be on and how you are going to stay there.

God desires that all men are saved but all men must choose whether they want to be saved.  That is the “Valley of Decision.”

Decision:

I choose to believe in God the creator of heaven and earth

I believe in his Son Jesus Christ who gave himself for the forgiveness of my sins.

I choose to believe that the Holy Spirit is also God who will guide me into truth.

I now make Jesus my Lord and Savior.
