Are you in a new season OR just “want to be” in a new season?
You cannot be your old self in a new season. It just doesn’t work. Like old wineskins with new wine, you will be destroyed. Here are some things you can expect to adjust to in a new season. If you think you are ready to step up to a new season, you need to consider the price of giving up the old.
1. New identity:
- You are no longer a victim. You can’t blame others for your situation anymore.
- Remove fear and manipulation of the past. Repent and forgive. See yourself as someone in charge of your future.
- Learn new behaviors and thought patterns that fit your new identity in Christ.
2. New garments of favor are linked to obedience. Let go rebellious ways and hesitations from the past. When favor opens doors, step into new opportunities. .
3. New relationships: Let go of old relationships that will hinder your future. Let go of the old perspective of relationships that hinder your future.
4. New Acts: See God move in divine intervention in your life. Acknowledge him in all your ways.
5. New weapons for the war ahead are needed. Remove any wounding from the past by forgiving. Learn to use your shield of faith to deflect the fiery darts of the enemy. Tighten the belt of truth by knowing the Word at a deeper level. Make your own armor efficient by adjusting your thinking.
6. New sounds: Sing new songs. We sing before we develop our theology. Sound creates movement in our spirit. Listen carefully to what is being sung today.
7. New anointing: Anointing makes us “fat” that breaks the bondage and greasy to slip away from the Enemy. The new anointing may not function like the old one.
8. New level of authority: Stand in dominion of your sphere of authority that the Lord has given you. Exercise power over your enemies. Start declaring and decreeing and not begging.
